Before he travels the road
couple of weeks with his chest rattling,
few bad nights endless days to the next,
blocking the rising sun ,
the blue skies,
give him direction
encouragingly,
even in this shadowy existence
I have not regained his sight
in the warm spring sunlight,
when I rose through the window
to the streets and beyond,
you have no clue
how much I love you.
